With STRONG FINISH, you really do get what you pay for. We are dedicated, long-term, full-time publishing experts with superlative experience. We offer very fair rates for the premium services we provide.

Our rates are determined by the complexity of the material, service requested, time frame, and quality of text we have to work with. A one-hour minimum charge applies to all projects. For rush jobs, 25% will be added.

An estimate detailing the editorial services, time frame, and fee will be e-mailed to you, usually within 24 hours. Upon acceptance of the estimate, we will either meet to review a more detailed contract or the contract will be e-mailed to you.

Manuscript Evaluation:
(Rates per The Writers' Union of Canada)
•  10-page submission: $125 + HST(13%) = $141.25
•  Full manuscript: $125 (first 10 pages) + $2/page thereafter + HST =
for example, $125 + 190 x $2 = $505 + HST = $570.65

•  Substantive or Structural Editing: $50/hr +
•  Stylistic Editing/Line Editing/Editing ESL: $45/hr +
•  Copy Editing: $40/hr +
•  Proofreading: $35/hr +

Documents (including manuscripts) can be submitted via mail/courier/in person:
•  on disk (either CD or USB flash drive) or
•  as hard copy
Or electronically:
•  as an e-mail attachment (Word, smaller PDF, or Zip files) or
•  via a free file-sharing website such as WeTransfer

Documents must be
•  computer-generated
•  double-spaced

For manuscript evaluations, documents must be prepared as outlined above and should include your copyright on the cover page, a brief (one- or two-paragraph) synopsis of your work, and a list of three specific questions you would like us to address (optional).

Document submission is the responsibility of the client. Turnaround times begin on the agreed-upon date or upon our receipt of all documents from the client, whichever is later.

Please note: All client information and materials are held in strict confidentiality. Up-to-date firewall and anti-virus software protect client e-files.

New clients are required to deposit a 50% advance payment of the estimated cost, and longer projects may require installment payments.

Once STRONG FINISH has completed your project, a final invoice for the balance owing will be e-mailed to you. All invoices are due and payable upon receipt. We accept payment by cash, certified cheque, money order, or e-transfer. If a client cancels a project at any stage, the client must pay for all work completed to date.
